Internet chatting and the usage of computer: today internet is one big issue. Everyone must have a technical know how in using the internet in order to fit with the social status and to correlate with different individuals. And sometimes internet is used in getting jobs which is followed by a large amount of money for people who know how to use the computer. It is like to have and see how many connections you have today. Even kids with a young age know how to use the computer internet.

My first encounter with Filipino kids in the internet was through the club members of Keypals Club that Lauren started in April 1996 and my involvement as Internet safety Head of World Kids Network. Some of these kids were also members of another kids club, GIRL. In January 1997, the mother of Alexandra Rodriguez initiated a meeting for her daughter. Alex lived in Malaysia but her mom planned a vacation / business trip in the Philippines. The kids beamed with excitement for their first “real-life” meeting. Internet do is a threat to the teenagers, but it is also a necessity, and a need for all, it only depends on how we use it. Internet differs in its benefits, it may be beneficially abused and used in a unrightful way, still Internet is internet, we all have freedom. -Donald Tapan
internet has kept all people together no matter how far we are from each other.
plus it comes with the kuripot-ness of Filipinos ... instead of calling, chat na lang sa internet. hehe
yeah..that's right..the internet has been really helpful to the filipino families..bacause it is the means of communication that tey use to talk with their family members who are working and living in other countries..
